Green Guidelines

It’s time to celebrate folks– after nearly 100 years of prohibition, October 17th, 2018 has finally arrived and Canadians can now legally access both medical and recreational cannabis!

But what does this really mean? While there are some consistencies across the country, each province has guided their rules and regulations differently, so depending on where you’re based you will face unique frameworks to abide by.

Not to fret! Tokyo Smoke is here to clear the haze and ensure that your entrance to the age of legal cannabis is as smooth as can be.

What’s consistent from coast to coast?

  • Adults can carry up to 30-grams of legally sourced cannabis for non-medical purposes in public (yes, even during domestic air travel!).
  • Consumption in vehicles is prohibited.
  • Product is legally available in the following formats: flower, pre-roll, capsules, sprays, oils, edibles, drinks and extracts.
  • Online sales are available in all provinces and territories, whether via private retailers or through government-run websites.
